THE UTRAILBLAZERS SELECT NOMAS UMIAMI AS DESIGNER FOR LEGACY SITE

SEPTEMBER-09-2020

NOMAS UMiami is proud to announce their partnership with the University of Miami’s Alumni Association Legacy Group, the ‘UTRAILBLAZERS’—in design of UM’s first camps site dedicated to African-Americans.

The mission of the UTrailblazers Legacy project is to document and celebrate those who blazed a trail of inclusion at the University of Miami. Another equally important goal is to ensure that diverse voices and perspectives can continue to enrich the entire UM family. The UTrailblazers Legacy site will be a permanent tribute on the Coral Gables campus to honor the legacy of the FirstBlack Graduates and other Trailblazers at UM. This Legacy Wall will be a state of the art, multimedia display, honoring those Black Graduates that have made a positive, constructive mark on campus in various disciplines, as well as in their careers or communities. This tribute will be the first of its kind at any major U.S. educational institution and will attract national attention. NOMAS UMiami is truly honored to be a part off this project, and looks forward to leaving their mark on campus for a lifetime.
